We Need Training to Effectively Teach the Entrepreneurial Mindset
Introducing a Pathway for Educators

Friends–I’ve been on a journey that is going on year twelve. Twelve years ago I began researching AND practicing in real-time how to effectively teach the entrepreneurial mindset and after working with over 35 schools to launch meaningful entrepreneurial programs, it has become clear that with training, all teachers at all grade levels can teach the entrepreneurial mindset.
This summer, I am hosting the first ever in-person training for K-12 educators which, over the course of three inspiring and skill-focused days, will result in teachers who are certified to teach the entrepreneurial mindset. And newsletter subscribers get early access to this limited opportunity (email [email protected] to reserve your spot).
More details below, but here’s a larger WHY: education needs to shift in order to truly impact students in today’s society. When we consider the various challenges and obstacles our students will face in the next three to five years, the best way to prepare them is to help them develop an entrepreneurial mindset. Armed with this mindset, they will operate with an internal compass of growth mindset, they will continuously develop their grit, they will not be afraid of failure, and they will actively seek opportunity.
And in our Christian schools, it means they will step not into a job or career, but into a vocation or calling that gives them the opportunity to bring shalom to a broken, fallen world. It does not mean that every student will be an entrepreneur; however, if every student thinks like an entrepreneur, he/she will be ready for whatever comes.
This sort of education requires dedicated educators who model the entrepreneurial mindset in the classroom in order to foster the necessary flourishing within the school. It means focusing more on progress than on perfection, and on using specific language focused on growth. It means creating lesson plans and units that encourage resilience, adaptability, and grit. And this can be daunting.
Talking about the entrepreneurial mindset and effectively teaching this mindset to students are two different things entirely - this summer certification training is about creating both CLARITY and ACTION around what the entrepreneurial mindset looks like in each and every classroom. It is about preparing teachers in real-time.
WHO should come to this training? It is open to any K-12 educator or administrator in any discipline. While it is not required to teach at a faith-based school, the primary content will be from a Christ-centered perspective.
WHEN is this training? June 4, 5, and 6 in Cincinnati, Ohio.
HOW much is this training? $950 per person for the full three days (discounts available for current client schools) which will result in 24 contact hours and a certificate. Meals and travel expenses are not included.
HOW many people are you accepting? I am keeping the group intentionally small and will operate based on who is first to sign up–you may send as many teachers/administrators from your school as you wish until all spots are filled.
HOW do I sign up? Email [email protected] to pay and reserve your spot.
